Happy Birthday Daddy & Uncle Chris!

We thought we'd be a little creative this year and make birthday cards.  It's just weird if you do it by yourself, but people love it when it involves a precious baby.  So, we made Chris (July 5) and Cody (July 3) their birthday cards this year.  Poo was very excited to be on the front of a holiday card!

Got a little Jesus in her now...

Madeline got baptized on June 19, 2011 (Father's Day!).  It was the best Father's Day gift we could have given to Cody.  She was baptized at Lea Joyner Methodist Church just like her daddy was.  Cody was baptized by Lea Joyner herself, so this was extra special to have her join this church.  The congregation there has welcomed our little family with open arms, and we couldn't be more blessed to be part of such a wonderful church.

Growing too fast...

Madeline will be 12 weeks tomorrow, and she's developing so quickly.  She laughed for the first time 2 days ago, and it's the funniest little giggle I've ever heard.  She loves being outside, even though it's 103 degrees outside.  So, she can only go out once a day and for a short time.  We're so ready for the fall to get here so we can break out the jogging stroller.  Cody's going to be too cute running with her through the neighborhood.

The first tummy time (she still hates it too)

Madeline Has Arrived!!!

Madeline Elizabeth Rials arrived in the world on April 21, 2011 at 8:22 a.m.  She weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 3 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.  She also came with a head full of black hair (wonder where she got that from).  She is the most beautiful little creature, and we could not be happier that she's finally here!

She's almost here!

We thought we could make it to April 27, but this little girl is ready to make her appearance into the world.  We are scheduled to go in for a c-section on April 21 at 8:00 a.m.  She should arrive shortly thereafter.  Can't wait :)

Beautiful day for a baby shower...

The weather today was absolutely beautiful!  78 degrees and gorgeous.  It was the perfect day for my baby shower.  5 of my wonderful friends hosted the shower, and it could not have been any better.  They did such a great job with everything.  We got some great stuff, and had a fabulous time.

Lilya Kay stays with her sissy and Co-co

While dad and Kelly were at the hospital for the first couple of days, Lilya Kay came and stayed with us.  She loves her sissy and Co-Co more than anything in the world (we like to think so anyway).  But, we always love when she comes and stays.  It's been great practice for us over the last 2 1/2 years for sure.  She always gives us good entertainment.

Stuart Lawson Jaubert has arrived!

Well, I have a new little brother.  I'm no longer the middle child...Ha!  He's absolutely precious, and is going to be very very loved.  I believe he loves his sissy already.  I know his big sister Lilya Kay is crazy about him.  She can't get enough of her Stu-baby!

Madeline's Room

Madeline's room is almost complete.  Her wonderful daddy did such a great job painting, and it looks beautiful!  I made her artwork and wall plaque for her room.  Hopefully she'll like it because it was made with love by her momma.

Yay for Cody!!

Cody became partner in his firm, and Madeline and I are so proud of him.  He has worked his booty off, and he deserves it.  He's got a really good group of guys working with him now, and they're going to do so great!

Happy New Year!!

We had a very quiet New Year this year, which was wonderful.  We had Philip and Liz McQueen come over, and we cooked and talked and drank wine (well they drank wine, I drank decaf tea in a pretty glass).  It was just the way we wanted to spend our New Year's Eve.  Hope everyone had a wonderful, safe New Year's Eve and wish you all the best in 2011.

Someone tried to kill Santa!!

We have this gigantic blow up Santa Clause (looks like it should be in the Macy's Day parade) on Pargoud in our neighborhood.  He's pretty awesome and Cody and I are fascinated by him.  People stop and take pictures of him and with him all during the season.  Well, some North side thugs (it's funny if you know anything about the northside of Monroe) cut him and deflated him this year on Christmas Eve.  We're guessing that by some Christmas miracle though, he was repaired by that evening and was up smiling for the neighborhood again.  I've posted a picture of him...he's as big as the house and the trees!

Merry Merry Christmas!!

We had the best Christmas(es)!  We spent Christmas Eve day with my mom at our house.  Then went to church for Christmas Eve service.  Christmas Eve evening was spent at Cody's dad's house.  Christmas morning was just for us alone.  We enjoyed the quiet since this will be our last quiet Christmas morning before our little angel comes into the world.  Christmas Day afternoon, we spent at Cody's mom's house with his mom and his sister's family.  Our little niece Marleigh is growing so fast, and Cody is just crazy about her.  It's good practice for him.  Sunday evening was spent at my dad's house doing Christmas with dad, Kelly, and Lilya.  Lilya Kay got a V-reader, books and a princess dress up kit from her sissy and Co-Co.  She had to try everything out just as soon as she got it opened.  Our Christmases get better and better every year...we are very blessed to have such wonderful families!
