Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

We had a wonderful Christmas...well wonderful Christmases!  We have 4 Christmases each year, but this one was especially wonderful because it was little poo's first!!  And it was an exciting week.  We started out at LuLu's house.  Aunt Holly, Uncle Marc and cousin Marleigh came in town.  The next day we went to church then to pops and Fru Fru's house.  We spend Sunday in silence....aahhhh.  Then Monday Uncle Chris, Aunt Jess and cousin Oscar came in town for the week.  So, we did Christmas Wednesday with them, Nona, Papa Don, Papaw Don Senior, BeBe, Molly, Papaw Roger, Kelly, Lilya, Stubaby, and Uncle Travis.  Did I miss anybody???  It was great, and Maddie had a blast!  More pics to follow along with the Nona and Papa Don wedding :)

My great aunt used to read this to us every year, so I am now carrying on the tradition

Mom and Dad's first trip away

Cody and I got out of Monroe for a whole day and a half in October.  And it was great!  We went to Baton Rouge for the LSU vs Florida game, and our seats were AWESOME!!  We had so much fun, and Cody got to show me around his ole' stompin' ground...LSU Law School.  Although I think he has another not-so-nice name for it :)

Lots of Firsts...

Lots of new things have happened.  Madeline is crawling everywhere!  But, now she's too cool to crawl and thinks she should stand up all the time.  I think we'll have ourselves a walking girl before too long.  Look out daddy!

The first time she stayed at Pawpaw Roger and Kelly's
Her first (and last) time in the kangaroo pouch
First time with a bowl on her head (I don't know...just thought it was cute)
First bath in the big tub and not her little tub
First time in her brand new high chair...checking it out
                                                First crawl
The first time she pulled herself up in her bed...and of course we lowered the mattress immediately!!
The first time I caught her smiling long enough to take a picture
First time sitting up in her bed...smiling of course
The first time Pootsie spent the night with us

The first time to grandma's house in St. Joe
The first time she ate baby food

The first time she saw herself in the mirror

At the camp

Well, Madeline is a bit of a home-body, but she loves going to the camp.  She loves doing anything outside...especially if it includes the dogs.  Sheila (Fru-Fru) will be proud that we've raised a dog lover!

                                  Loving on Ada
                              Her future's so bright....
First time eating with a spoon...success!!

Practice makes perfect!

The McCarty's bought Madeline a walker for my baby shower.  And the redneck folks that we are, we tied a dog leash to it so we could pull her around starting at about 6 weeks old.  I call it genius! Perhaps a patent in my future.  She loved it, and that's what matters.  But, now she's running around in this thing knocking paint off the walls left and right.

First time in the walker, so we had to tuck towels around her to keep her from falling out

No problem getting around now!

Happy Birthday Daddy & Uncle Chris!

We thought we'd be a little creative this year and make birthday cards.  It's just weird if you do it by yourself, but people love it when it involves a precious baby.  So, we made Chris (July 5) and Cody (July 3) their birthday cards this year.  Poo was very excited to be on the front of a holiday card!

Got a little Jesus in her now...

Madeline got baptized on June 19, 2011 (Father's Day!).  It was the best Father's Day gift we could have given to Cody.  She was baptized at Lea Joyner Methodist Church just like her daddy was.  Cody was baptized by Lea Joyner herself, so this was extra special to have her join this church.  The congregation there has welcomed our little family with open arms, and we couldn't be more blessed to be part of such a wonderful church.
